Faithful Friday: Be the Change!

Welcome to my very first Faithful Friday post!  It's a weekly linky party that Joy hosts on her blog, Doodlebug. It's a chance for Christians to write a post about something in their walk with Christ, a devotion, or anything like that.  I've been a huge fan of Joy's blog for a while, so I decided that I wanted to create a Faithful Friday post too! Sorry that this is short and not very good, I promise it'll be better next week!
I have a quote in my room that says "Be the change you want to see in the world."-(Gandhi) I think this is so relevant for Christians. We need to BE THE CHANGE!!!!!! We need to start living radically! We can change the world if we team up as God's children. God called us to be different from the world.  Why is it that it's hard to tell some Christians apart from the world? We should behave the way that we do on Sunday the whole week. I believe that a lot of Christians are ashamed to live Godly lives in certain situations.  It's easier to live a Godly life when you're surrounded by Christians, but it gets harder when you feel like you're the only on living for Christ. What if we all started to live Godly lives all the time?  It would be a lot easier to live like a child of the King.  I'm not saying there wouldn't be challenges, because the Bible says that Christians will face trials. It would be nice to have hundreds of people in your area encouraging you and setting a role model.  Maybe this is happening in some areas, but my state is the very lowest number on this chart. I know this is kind of old, but it's the best chart I could find.

Another way that we can start to change the world is to show God's love to those around us.  Look for opportunities to show random acts of kindness. That might not change the whole world, but it could change that person's day. Something as small as a smile could change someone's whole outlook on that day.  I challenge you to do a random act of kindness this week. You never know what will happen!
